School
Council
The
school council meets regularly, under the guidance of Mrs Gwen Worboys,
one of our teaching
assistants. Each class has two elected representatives who report back
to their classes.
Transition
The school works closely
with both the village
pre-school and
the local secondary school, Bassingbourn Village College. This ensures
that pupils' transition from one stage of their education to another is
smooth and effective.
Guilden Morden Pre-school
Every
Friday morning, the Pre-school 3-4 year olds attend Pre-school in the
school hall. They join us for assembly, playtime and lunch. They also
come to church with us for our end of term services. If you would like
to know more about the Pre-school, please click here to visit their
website.
Parent Teacher Association
We have a thriving PTA which
organises a range of events to raise funds for the school. Recent
purchases have included a projector system and screen for the school
hall as well us hundreds of pounds worth of books for our reading
schemes. The PTA pay for the cost of coach travel for school visits
each year and pay for the upkeep of the outdoor heated swimming pool.
Regular fundraising events
include:
Guilden's Got Talent -
Safari Supper - Boden Clothes Sale - Bags2School - Splash and Eat (pool
fundraiser)
For more information
regarding the Parent Teacher Association please contact the school.
